We are currently monitoring the CDC Guidelines for large gatherings for direction on to how to safely offer the following events.  The events listed below are proceeding as scheduled.  Any changes will be posted here and emailed to all registered participants.  Should a cancellation be necessary, any registered sponsors or exhibitor fees will be refunded.  Refunds will not be provided should a vendor or sponsor cancel within two weeks prior to the event that does proceed as planned.  Click below for more details on our COVID-19 Event safety.

Celebrate the holidays at City Hall with snow, light displays, live entertainment, food vendors, and Mr. & Mrs. Claus will flip the switch to light up the festival!

Hometown Christmas Parade in Glendale – CANCELED

The True Star of Christmas Truly Shines at this event.  This wonderful community parade begins at 11:00 am and takes place in Historic Downtown Glendale.  Parade Entry and Sponsorship opportunities are available on the Hometown Christmas Parade website, click the link below for more information.

Tres Rios Nature Festival 

This unique festival focuses on the rich diversity of wildlife, habitat, history and culture of the Gila River drainage area.  Highlights include:  kayaking, canoeing, fishing, bird watching, and hiking.  The Festival also showcases up close encounters with wildlife, live entertainment, food and much more all in the great outdoors.  Proceeds benefit Wildlife for Tomorrow! Hosted by the City of Avondale, City of Goodyear and Arizona Game & Fish
Location: Base & Meridian Wildlife Recreation Area (7602 S Avondale Blvd)
Time: 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. each day, with Sunset Concert until 7 p.m. on Saturday.
Attendance: 6,500

Jerry’s Charities Bowling Palooza

An evening filled with food and fun! Register your team today! There will also be raffles and a silent auction. Net proceeds benefit Jerry’s Charities, a selection of non-profits with a footprint in Glendale.

Avondale KidFest!  A Celebration of the Young Child  

Join us as we celebrate the Week of the Young Child – focusing on early education, nutrition, water-safety, child development and well being. The festival includes live entertainment, cast of characters, food, interactive activities and lots of fun for the whole family.

This event honors the men and women that have served our country with a candle lighting ceremony, Scottish American Military Remembrance Table presentation and more.
