Billy Moore Days

Billy Moore Days features a Parade, Carnival, 2 Stages of Live Entertainment, Street Festival and lots of Western Fun will round out the celebration both days!
Location: Western Avenue, Avondale
October 18th: 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
October 19th: Parade at 9:00 a.m., festival runs 11 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Attendance: 13,000 expected for the 2-day celebration

Avondale Veterans Day Ceremony, Fun Run & Hero’s Breakfast

Help us honor our Veterans and their families with a Fitness Challenge and Hero’s Breakfast at Estrella Mountain Community College. Net proceeds support the new Southwest Valley Veterans Center at Luke Airforce Base. The day will kick off with a Fun Run at 8:30 am, Hero’s Breakfast at 9:00 am and Ceremony at 9:30. Hero’s Breakfast is Free to all Veterans, their families and all race participants. Hosted by the City of Avondale and Estrella Mountain Community College Veterans Center.
Location: Estrella Mountain Community College.

City of Avondale Winterfest

Celebrate the holidays at City Hall with snow,  Kids Crafts, live entertainment, food vendors, and Mr. & Mrs. Claus will flip the switch to light up the festival!
Location: Avondale City Hall

Attendance: 5,000+

Saturday, February 29 & Sunday, March 1, 2020
Tres Rios Nature Festival

This unique festival focuses on the rich diversity of wildlife, habitat, history and culture of the Gila River drainage area.  Highlights include:  kayaking, canoeing, fishing, bird watching, and hiking.  The Festival also showcases up close encounters with wildlife, live entertainment, food and much more attracting more than 8,000 people to enjoy the great outdoors.  Proceeds benefit Wildlife for Tomorrow! Hosted by the City of Avondale, City of Goodyear and Arizona Game & Fish
Location: Base & Meridian Wildlife Recreation Area (7602 S Avondale Blvd)
Time: 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. each day, with Sunset Concert until 7 p.m. on Saturday.
Attendance: 6,500

CulturePOP Block Party


The popular Tale of Two Cities event hosted by the cities of Avondale & Goodyear has been reinvented to an evening Block Party that showcases musical performances, beers, wines and food from around the world.  Hosted by the City of Avondale, City of Goodyear and Estrella Mountain Community College
Location: Thomas Rd. just west of Dysart
Time: 5:30 Naturalization Ceremony; 6:00 p.m.- 10:00 p.m. Festival

Avondale KidFest!  A Celebration of the Young Child  

Join us as we celebrate the Week of the Young Child – focusing on early education, nutrition, water-safety, child development and well being. The festival includes live entertainment, cast of characters, food, interactive activities and lots of fun for the whole family.
Hosted by the City of Avondale and United Way

Saturday, May 2, 2020
Avondale Fiesta 

The City of Avondale hosts this  celebration complete with live entertainment to include a Mariachi Band, Ballet Folklorico Esperanza and more.  Arts & crafts and a wonderful selection of Hispanic foods and drinks enhances the evening.
